Issue description

When copying/scanning a document through the automatic document feeder (ADF) using a Legal sized pharmacy label (or any label with thin adhesive strips), the printer posts an 843.01 or 842.01 error message.

Pharmacy Label stuck on the ADF backside calibration strip

Explanation

It was found that a portion of the pharmacy label had peeled off and attached itself to the backside calibration strip. Every time the scanner ran through calbration, the back side calibration strip would not move and the machine posted the error message.

Recommendation

There is currently no solution when using any type of media which has something that peels off and attaches to the ADF backside calibration strip.

Should the issue occur, make sure to remove the label that is stuck on the ADF backside calibration strip and perform a power-on reset (POR) to clear the error message.
