431.x6, 426.x5, 420.x5, or 435.x6 error codes when using the 500-sheet staple finisher

Issue description

These error messages appear when using the 500-sheet staple finisher with the following observations:

• The output bin is overfilled.
• A combination of paper sheets with mixed sizes on the output bin.
• Improper stacking of paper sheets on the output bin.

Solution

This issue only occurs when the 500-sheet staple finisher output bin is overfilled with a combination of paper sheets of different sizes.

To resolve this issue, remove any paper sheets with mixed or larger sizes that are stacked together in the output bin.

• A sample list of the larger paper sizes are LG, OF, FO, LD, SLD, B4, A3, and SRA3.
