Card Authentication

Unable to login via badge after Cloud Authentication/Card Authentication App is updated

Issue description

User cannot login on the printer even after swiping their PcProx or Elatec badge on the card reader device.

Solution

There is a gap between the firmware and eSF SDK being used by Cloud Authentication/Card Authentication application to listen on the card reader drivers during installation events, an upcoming fix is already in line for this on the SDK side.

As workaround to recover from the issue, users can:

  1. Unplug the card reader device, wait about 10 seconds then reinsert it again.

  2. Reboot the printer.
