Steps | Actions |
| Power off the printer and open the toner-access door. |
| Remove any visible obstructions in the toner-access door. |
| Open the right-side cover also and remove any visible obstructions. |
| Close the toner-access door and right-side cover evenly. If everything appears to be fine, close the door and power on the printer. Note: If you cannot get the toner-access door and right-side cover to close completely, or the Close Door error continues to display, try to look again for any obstruction that may be preventing door closing and remove it. If you cannot find any sort of obstruction and the door still will not close, service may be required to fix the issue.

| Power off the printer again and open the printer's front door. Remove any obstructions or visible media in the paper path. Be sure to completely remove any torn or damaged paper in the path. |
| Close the front door and power on the printer. Make certain that the magnet clicks firmly into place and that the door is completely closed. Note: Make sure to check that there is no gap on the front and right-side cover.
