Procedure: USB Firmware Update
Before you begin, do the following:
- - Download the firmware from Lexmark.com.
- - Extract the .zip file
- - Copy the *.ffc file to a flash drive. (The example below uses the LLCON0N53.ffc file.)
NOTE: This procedure applies to MarkNet N7000e and MarkNet N7020e only. The firmware level may have changed since the release of this article.1st line/Second Lineof LCD
Step | Action |
1 | Insert the USB flash drive into an available USB port. |
2 | Press when USB Mass Storage Device/Media Drive is displayed on the LCD. MarkNet N7020e users: Press or until USB Mass Storage Device/Media Driveis displayed on the LCD, and then press |
3 | Press or to locate the *.ffc file - for example, Media Drive/LLON0N53.ffc |
4 | Press |
5 | Press again at Options:/Update Firmware |
6 | Observe Updating/Do Not Power Off. |
7 | Near the end of the firmware update, you should see a CRC OK message followed by: - Kernel... loading to 100%
- Base... loading to 100%
- Net... loading to 100%
- NetDrv... loading to 100%
- Restarting...

8 | The network adapter (print server) will reboot and you will see the new firmware level displayed on the LCD. |
