What you will see
'Close Top Cover' Message continuously appears and will not clear from the Operator Panel.
Possible cause
- The top cover of the printer is not properly closed.
- The clutch or drive component of the fuser is malfunctioning.
Troubleshooting
Step | Action |
1 | Power off the printer and open the front door. |
2 | Inspect the top cover for any signs of damage. |
3 | If the top cover has no damage, ensure that it is seated properly, and re-seat if necessary. |
4 | Close the front door and power on the printer. |
5 | If the issue persists, contact Lexmark Technical Support to set up service for the printer. |
