Tools such as LDCM or MVE are used to query the printer’s status information; however, your Lexmark printer randomly stops responding to the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) queries and fails to provide the machine's status. The printer requires a reboot to start communicating again with the SNMP.
Update the printer’s firmware with PE Release code P691 or higher. Doing so addresses an issue in which a problematic NPA command causes the device to stop responding to future NPA traffic.
