CAUTION—SHOCK HAZARD: To avoid the risk of electrical shock, if you are accessing the controller board or installing optional hardware or memory devices sometime after setting up the printer, then turn the printer off, and unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet before continuing. If you have any other devices attached to the printer, then turn them off as well, and unplug any cables going into the printer.
Notes:
- This option must be installed together with a 550‑sheet tray. Place this option at the bottom of the configuration.
- If a 550‑sheet tray is already installed, then uninstall the tray, remove the lower tray cover and place it on top of this option.
- This task requires a flat‑head screwdriver.
Unpack, and then assemble the cabinet.
Turn off the printer.
Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet, and then from the printer.
Lock the caster to keep the cabinet from moving.
Attach the side cover of the 550‑sheet tray.
Align the tray with the cabinet, and then lower it into place.
Note: To avoid damaging the tray, make sure to hold the front and rear sides when lifting it.
Pull out the tray insert.
Secure the tray to the cabinet.
Insert the tray insert.
Secure the rear part of the tray to the cabinet.
Remove the cover under the right side of the printer.
Align the printer with the cabinet and the tray, and then lower it into place.
CAUTION—POTENTIAL INJURY: If the printer weight is greater than 20 kg (44 lb), then it may require two or more people to lift it safely.
Pull out the standard tray insert.
Secure the 550‑sheet tray to the printer.
Insert the standard tray insert.
Secure the rear part of the 550‑sheet tray to the printer.
Connect one end of the power cord to the printer, and then the other end to the electrical outlet.
CAUTION—POTENTIAL INJURY: To avoid the risk of fire or electrical shock, connect the power cord to an appropriately rated and properly grounded electrical outlet that is near the product and easily accessible.
Turn on the printer.
