If possible, connect the printer's power cord directly into a wall outlet. Power on the printer again. Did the problem continue? NO: The display panel issue may have been an isolated incident. However, observe the printer closely over the next two weeks to see if the issue returns.YES: A service call may be required. Please contact a local authorized service center or Lexmark Technical Support for assistance Note: If printer's power cord is plugged into a power strips, surge protectors, extension cords and uninterrupted power supplies (UPS), unplug it and connect it directly to a grounded wall outlet. Some of these devices can interfere with consistent electrical flow and cause the printer to fail to power up properly. (This is true even if the printer has previously worked with these devices.) Should this test not be possible, confirm that the power strip is switched on and functioning correctly.IMPORTANT! Also disconnect any data cables (i.e., parallel, USB, Ethernet) from the rear of the printer before testing. Any defect in a data cable may cause an electrical short circuit that could result in printer hardware issues.
