Repeating defects every 1.11 inches (28.3mm) check

Overview

Repeating marks on the page that are spaced 1.11 inches (28.3mm) apart is an issue likely caused by a damaged or defective Photoconductors.

Troubleshooting

Power off the printer/MFP and reseat all four toner cartridges and photoconductors.

Power on the printer/MFP again and print a test page. Did the print defect return?

Yes: Continue to Step 3.

No: The issue is resolved. (The problem was an improperly seated supply.)

Click here and print off the pages that load from the PDF file. The last five pages are solid-color pages (with the fifth page being a blank). Does the print defect appear on all five of these pages?

Yes: Continue to Step 4..

No: Continue to Step 5

All four of the photoconductors will need to be replaced. If they have more than 10% left on the supply settings page, you will need to continue to Contacting Lexmark in order to get a replacement set of photoconductors sent out to you. However, if they are at the end of their service life, you will need to order a replacement set for yourself.

Determine which photoconductors will need to be replaced based on the number of pages, and therefore colors, that the test in Step 2 indicates are affected. If they have more than 10% left on the supply settings page, you will need to continue to Contacting Lexmark in order to get a replacement set of photoconductors sent out to you. However, if they are at the end of their life, you will need to order one or more replacement photoconductors for yourself.
