An 843.01 error is generally caused by the Bottom ADF Cable on the scanner being loose or unplugged.

2 | Check the bottom cable connections on the rear of the ADF unit (see red1in right-hand image). Unplug and replug the cable in order to ensure that the connector is seated fully before proceeding to tighten the two screws completely. NOTE: A flat-head screwdriver or a coin are ideal implements for tightening the screws completely. | click here to enlarge |
3 | Power on the MFP again. Did the error return? Yes: Continue to Contacting Lexmark. No: The error is resolved. | No Image |
