Latest printer panel notification not shown in the CFM portal

Issue description

The latest control panel notification message is not reflected in the CFM portal.

The issue is observed after sending 2 or more consecutive "Send notification to panel" tasks to printers that are enrolled in Cloud Fleet Management (CFM) using the Printer Agent.

Solution

Any one of the following workarounds will update the CFM portal with the current printer panel notification message:

  • Update the Printer Agent to the latest version, v3.3.2 or later.
  • Perform Refresh Printer Information task.
  • Restart the printer.
  • From the CFM portal printer listing page, perform a “Clear notification” task followed by a “Send notification to panel” task using the latest notification message.
