The printer repeatedly posts a 206.16D paper jam when the tray becomes empty.
Open Tray 1 to verify whether the tray is empty.
Note: If the tray is empty, proceed to the next step.
Load paper into the tray to clear the error and observe the printer.
If the error repeatedly appears every time the tray runs out of paper, inspect the tray sensor flag by removing the tray and check the flag at the bottom.
A dislodged or broken sensor flag may cause the error. Please contact Lexmark Technical Support for further assistance.
Any removals from this section may cause damage to the printer. Make sure a certified trained technician performs the following instructions.
Should the tray sensor flag is broken, a replacement is necessary.
