What you will see
Two intervention messages displayed on a Lexmark MX710 or MX711 Multifunction Printer might not match with their corresponding images, although the text instruction is correct.
Examples of intervention messages
Two such intervention messages have been observed so far and the inaccuracy depends on the Firmware (FW) version installed in the printer.
Lexmark MX71x with FW level EC 4.1 – Close Rear Door

The printer shows the correct message “Close Rear Door” but the illustration on the screen indicates an Open Multipurpose (MP) Feeder. |
Lexmark MX71x with FW level EC5 – Close Upper Rear Door

The message on the screen says “Close Upper Rear Door” though this model has only one rear door. The illustration is much more confusing as it seems to point to the ADF and not the rear door. |
Work in progress
This document’s purpose is to inform users that Lexmark is aware of these inaccuracies, and as of this writing the Product Engineering team is working to have this corrected with the products' next firmware release. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused.
