Lexmark Scan to Network ? No Option Exists to Select Single-Page or Multi-Page TIFF from the Control Panel

What you will see

When using Scan to Network through the printer’s Control Panel screen, you may find that there no option exists to select single-page or multi-page TIFF.


NOTES:

  • To choose the file type in Scan to Network from the Control panel screen, navigate through: Scan to Network > Scan Settings > Send As > select TIFF (at this point, the single-page or multi-page options are not available) > press the check mark.
  • Single-page or multi-page options are available when sending PDF, Secure PDF, and other PDF types.

Explanation and suggested workaround

This is functioning as designed. The single-page and multi-page TIFF sending is not an option that you can find on all scan workflows (i.e., e-mail, FTP, network) if you are using the printer’s Control panel user interface.

Should you need to send multi-page TIFF, Lexmark recommends that you use the printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS).
