Lexmark MX417
Issue description
The printer shows signs of not getting power; i.e., front panel LED does not light up and there is no sound of fan or motor turning.
Troubleshooting
Make sure that the power source voltage matches with printer’s voltage requirement (i.e., a 110V printer should be connected to a 110V power outlet).
Check also whether the printer is properly plugged into the wall outlet. Reseat the power cable if necessary.
Try another power outlet. Should the printer not power on even if it is connected to a known good power source, try another power cord.
Remove any printer options installed and see whether the printer itself will power on.
If the preceding suggestions do not resolve the issue or should one of the options be keeping the printer from powering on (Step 4), please contact Lexmark Technical Support.

1.
Check if Power supply cable to the controller card is fully seated. Proceed to Step 2 if cable is seated properly.
2.
Check the LVPS fuse (F100) as to whether it is blown. Do the same with Diodes D100 and D102.
NOTE: A blown fuse or diode may appear visually okay. Inspections should be done electrically. If any of these components are damaged, replace the LVPS.
3.
If none of the components appear damaged, follow the “Dead machine service check” in the printer’s Service Manual.
