Steps | Actions |
1 | The touch screen display may be in 'sleep' mode. Lightly touch the display and see whether the display panel lights up. |
2 | If the display does not respond, press OK or the Copy button and see whether the printer attempts to lights up the display. |
3 | If the printer comes to the 'Ready' state after powering it back on, use the operator panel on the printer to print one of the internal pages; i.e., a settings page or a demo page. Note: If the issue occurs again, proceed with the steps below.
|
4 | If the printer does not respond, power off the printer. Allow the printer to sit powered off for ten to 20 seconds. |
5 | After ten seconds or more, power the printer on again. See whether the display panel powers on correctly. Note: Do not power the printer off and on too quickly. Doing so can cause a power issue with the display panel and create this type of issue.
|
6 | Should powering the printer off and on not correct the issue, see whether the display is readable at all. Note: If the Green LED is OFF, see No power.
|
7 | If the display is blank or completely unreadable, this issue requires a service call. Please contact Lexmark Technical Support for other troubleshooting suggestions. |
