Lexmark Fleet Tracker (LFT3) ? Name Column Shows the Device IP Address Instead of the Hostname

Overview

In LFT 3.10.0.592, the Name column will show the IP Address of the device, while in previous LFT 3 versions, it showed the hostname of the device as defined in the printer. This was observed when the data collector being used is LRAM 2.0.3. See sample comparison below:

Solution

LFT 3.10.0.598 PE build (and higher) and LRAM 2.0.5 (and higher) should address this issue. With both builds, the Name and DNS names will now be populated with the hostname defined inside the printer.

Using LRAM versions before version 2.0.5 (or higher) with LFT 3.10.0.598 (or higher) build will continue to show IP addresses. The activation servers now have the LFT 3.10.0.601 and LRAM 2.0.5, so you may choose to upgrade from the app and it will load the latest version.
