What you will see
The printer displays ‘902.05’, ‘902.06’ or '902.59' Service Engine errors when powering on or on boot up.
Troubleshooting
NOTE: If you do not feel comfortable performing the steps below, please continue to Contacting Lexmark.
Steps | Actions |
1 | When this error appears, power off the printer. Leave it powered off for at least one minute. Then power the printer back on and wait to see whether the error returns. |
2 | If the ‘902.05’ or ‘902.06’ Service Engine error does not return on power-up, try printing again. Should the error not return when printing, it may simply have been an isolated incident. Continue using the printer, but keep an eye on it for the next week or two. |
3 | If you cannot get the error to clear at all from the printer, the printer will most likely need to be serviced. Please skip ahead to Contacting Lexmark section at the end of this document. |
