Overview
The 845.02 error generally means failure in the Scanner Module Connector or its Cable.
Troubleshooting
The MFP may require a service action to correct the error. However, it is always best to restart the machine first to determine whether it is a recurring issue.
Power off the printer and wait for 10-20 seconds before you power it back on.
- If the error does not return on power up, continue using the printer but observe its operation for about a week. If there is no sign of the error coming back, it was probably a temporary glitch and restarting the machine was able to clear it.
- If the error returns, contact Lexmark Technical Support to set up service for the printer.
