Bulletin# T64X_110 | Problem Description |
Machine Type/Model | 4061 7002 - all models | The printer is displaying a 922.x4 type Service Fuser error (for example, 922.04, 022.14, 922.24, Etc.) Solution Check the engine code level on the printer before replacing any parts when getting a 922.04 error code. If the engine code level is below E211 (i.e., below LS.ST.E211), updating the engine code to the most recent level may correct the issue. |

What you will see
922.x4 errors (where x = any number)
In a recent change to the printer design, the fuser lamp was moved 2mm away from the fuser thermistor. This change results in the thermistor taking slightly longer to read the current temperature of the lamp. The delay can trigger a 922.x4 type error.
Solution
Engine code release E211 takes the increased read time for the fuser thermistor into account. Accordingly, for any 922.x4 errors (.04, .14,.24. etc.) you should check the engine code level on the printer before replacing any parts. If the engine code level is below E211 (i.e., LS.ST.E211), updating the engine code to the most recent level may correct the issue.
Additionally any time a fuser unit is replaced check the Engine Code and verify the printer's code is at or above LS.ST.E211.
