Issue Description:
When the end user launches the printer enrolment tool (PET), an
"Unable to connect to the login service." error message appears on the computer home screen.
This issue has also been observed when end user's network includes a proxy, and
traffic must pass through the proxy to reach the internet.
Solution:
Press the Windows key and a search box should appear.
In the search box, type Environment.
Select the option for "Edit the system environment variables".
The System Properties will open then click on the Environment Variables button.
Create two new variables under User Variables at the top and under System Variables at the bottom.
Create a variable called HTTPS_PROXY and set to the value of
http://<Proxy_IP_Address>:<Proxy_port> using
the correct IP address and port number for your proxy. Note that the proxy name is labeled HTTPS but the URL its pointing to is http://.
It is normal that when using a proxy for https, you still connect to the proxy itself via http. The proxy's connection to the server will be https. If your proxy is identified by a DNS name instead of an IP address you can use that as well.Example:
http://myProxy.company.com:8080Create a second user variable called NO_PROXY and set its value to 127.0.0.1. That's the
loopback address, and always means "this machine".
Launch the PET and perform another test.
