240.05, 232.05, or 200.05 paper jam when using the multipurpose feeder

Issue description

240.05, 232.05 or 200.05 paper jams occur when using the multipurpose feeder.

Possible causes:

  • More than one paper is picked from the tray in just one print cycle.
  • The two sheets of paper did not separate successfully during the pick event.
  • A stack of poorly cut paper causes uneven edges, which results in the paper being difficult to separate during picking.
  • A mixture of different paper types and sizes causes difficulty in separating during picking.

Solution

  1. Remove the stack of paper from the multipurpose feeder.

  2. Check the quality of the paper loaded.

  3. Replace the paper stack if it is damaged.

  4. Load paper.

    • Flex, fan, and align the paper edges before loading.
    • Do not mix paper sizes, weights, or types in the same tray.
  5. Open door B and then remove the jammed paper.

  6. Close door B and check if the error remains.

If the issue persists, then contact customer support.
