What you will see
When scanning using the Automatic document feeder (ADF), the output image will not contain the entire image that was scanned. The output can be any of the following:
- Clipped trailing edge (i.e., Bottom of front pages or top of duplex pages)
- Horizontal sections are either missing or compressed.

Recommended solution
If the bottom or top portion of the resulting scan image is clipped, Lexmark advises that you utilize the scanner flatbed. However, when the use of ADF is necessary, especially when scanning multiple documents, enable “Edge to Edge” scanning from the printer’s menu settings. See steps below:
Step | Action |
1 | Press Menu. |
2 | Select Settings. |
3 | Select Copy settings. |
4 | Toggle Scan edge to edge setting to "On". Note: "Off" is the printer's factory setting. |
5 | Press Submit. |
