Installing the card reader

CAUTION—SHOCK HAZARD:  To avoid the risk of electrical shock, if you are accessing the controller board or installing optional hardware or memory devices sometime after setting up the printer, then turn the printer off, and unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet before continuing. If you have any other devices attached to the printer, then turn them off as well, and unplug any cables going into the printer.

  1. Turn off the printer.

  2. Open door B.

  3. Open the front USB port cover.

  4. Remove the lower USB port cover.

    Note:  If your printer does not have this part, then proceed to the next step.

  5. Remove the protective cover from the card reader.

  6. Insert the card reader.

  7. Attach the lower port cover until it clicks into place.

  8. Attach the sticker guide.

  9. Attach the front USB port cover until it clicks into place.

  10. Close door B until it clicks into place.

  11. Turn on the printer.
