Busy please wait message after pressing Release Station for Pharos BluePrint 4.2

What you will see

You press Release Station and the screen goes immediately to a 'Busy, Please wait' message.

Before you proceed

Make sure that you have the following components installed:

  • Analyst and Collector(s) on the print server(s)
  • Embedded Document Accounting Solutions on the MFP

eDAS can be installed on the MFP using the Lexmark Virtual Solutions Center.

Suggested Remedies

Suggestion 1: Check the Pharos EDI password andserverURL.

To check the password:

  1. Go to the eDAS configuration web page of the MFP. (Configuration/Settings > Embedded Solutions/Device Solutions > eDAS)

  2. Check the Pharos EDI password.

  1. Re-enter the password.
    NOTE:
    Default password is pharos.

  2. Click Apply and then Test.

If 'Status' is...Then... And...
Connection to Document Accounting server URL established...Previous password was incorrect.Try to press Release Station again.
Connection to Document Accounting server URL failed...The password has changed or the Pharos URL is incorrect.See Pharos URL check below, or contact your Blueprint administrator.

To check the:

  1. Confirm that the Pharos URL is correct and contains the correct hostname. Press Apply and Test.

  2. Substitute thePharos Server's IP address for the hostname. Press Apply and Test.

Results and additional actions

If... Then... And...
Connection to Document Accounting server URL established...The Pharos URL or hostname was entered incorrectly, or the MFP was not able to resolve the hostname of the Pharos server. Setup the DNS server used by the MFP.Try to press Release Station again.
Connection to Document Accounting server URL failed...eDAS is unable to connect to the Pharos server.

Investigate other issues below, such as...

  • Network issue
  • Problem with Pharos server

To Check eDAS-to-Pharos Server Communication

  1. Get to a workstation in the same domain as the Pharos server.

  2. Open a Web browser and enter the Pharos URL into the address bar.

  3. Press enter, and you should see something similar to this screen shot:

Lastly, If you cannot get to this screen, check for a network communication issue or a problem with the Pharos server.

Suggestion 2: Check to see that the MFP’s terminal is created in Blueprint Administrator on the Analyst.

To do this:

  1. Open the Blueprint Administrator on the Analyst.

  2. Go to Device Management > Terminals.

  3. Check whether the Terminal for the MFP in use is well created. It should appear in the list of Terminals.

  4. If not, create the Terminal for the affiliated MFP.
