Ensure that you are printing on printer-supported media. Click here to see the Paper Types, Sizes, and Weights supported by this printer.
Ensure that the printer is receiving its appropriate power requirement. Surge Protector and/or UPS or other voltage limiters may reduce the power needed by the printer to operate properly. If the printer is connected via a Surge Protector and/or UPS, plug it directly to a wall outlet instead.
Change the printer’s Paper Texture settings to "Rough". To do this, follow the outlined steps below:
To do this on a C79x
Press the Menu (
) button.Select Paper Menu.
Press (
) to scroll down the options to Paper Texture. Select it.Select the option which correspond to the type of media that you are using.
Example: If you are using a plain paper, select Plain Texture. If you are using card stock, select Card Stock Texture, etc.
Select Rough.
Press (
) to submit the changes.
