Paper curls, scrolls and exhibits messy output stack

Issue description

A loss of collation is seen as the paper exits the printer. It curls or scrolls which also produces a messy output stack.

Note:  This is most likely to occur in humid environments on partially acclimated media, lightweight media, narrow media, and short grain media.

Solution

  1. Load a fresh ream of paper. Flex, fan, and straighten the paper stack to prevent sheets from sticking together. Partially acclimated media with more moisture absorbed when sitting out in a humid environment is more likely to exhibit this issue. A fresh media will help fix the issue. Note:  If you are experiencing this issue with an A5 media, put the paper in Tray 1, where it should be loaded long-edge fed. This will improve the output as well as the scrolling and stacking issues.
