Issue description

Note:  If this driver cannot be located on support.lexmark.com, please contact Lexmark Technical Support to obtain the latest version of this driver.

Solution

Normal driver functionality utilizes bi-directional communication to identify and enable all options automatically.

Unfortunately, this version of the printer driver has a bi-di issue which prevents the feature (option) from being enabled in the printer driver.

To resolve this issue, please follow steps below:

  1. Make RFID tray selectable by opening REGEDIT in Windows and seach one of the following entries in the registry:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\LEXMARK\DRIVERS\RFIDENABLED"RFIDENABLED"=DWORD:00000001 or KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Printers\Lexmark Universal v2\PrinterDriverData\RFIDEnabled=DWORD:00000001

  2. If one of the entries mentioned in the previous steps exists, then edit the entries to match them and then Save it. If no extry exists, then add one of the entries to the registry and then Save it.

  3. Then, add the RFID option and enable it by going to Configuration > RFID Option and click "Apply".

  4. Open the printer driver's Printing Preferences and click "RFID tab" and enable the RFID function and add RFID Tag commands to the printer driver.

If the issue persists, search for more information related to this issue or contact support for further assistance.

Note:  The Tag Command Generator UtilityUser's Guide can be found under RFID Laser Printing > Manuals.
