If unsure of the following settings, consult with your router/wireless device manufacturer or the person who set up your wireless network.

2. Test communication with your router. For example, can you access your router's web configuration utility?

See router documentation for further assistance.
3. If your computer is connected to the router via an Ethernet cable, make sure other wireless clients can communicate over the wireless network.Verify whether other wireless devices are working, if available.
4. Print a network settings page – Optional, but recommended if the printer is already turned on and loaded with paper.

See User's Guide.

Wireless Setup Options

Several ways exist to connect a Lexmark MFP or printer to a wireless network. The options may vary per printer model and the drivers used; i.e., Lexmark driver vs. driver selected by Windows 8 (In-box or In-OS drivers), Inkjet touch panel printers, etc.

IMPORTANT! If setting up the printer with Windows 8, identify Windows 8 or Windows RT compatibility with your device. Microsoft Windows 8, Windows 8.1, and Windows RT Compatibility List to access this compatibility list. It shows a list of printers that indicates whether the printer has a Lexmark Driver available or will be using Windows 8 In-box or In-OS driver.
