Dark Horizontal Bands at a Photoconductor Frequency

What you will see

Dark horizontal bands are depicted on the printouts. See sample printout below:

Root cause

A thin horizontal band can be created if the charge or transfer clean is on for too long with a stationary drum.


NOTE:
Also, this defect appears to be a caused by the transfer clean being left on during a portion of a 200.15D shingle/multi-feed paper jam scenario.

Solution

The print defect degrades after multiple pages are printed. Thus, performing several test prints will fix the issue.
