Solution
If the printer is already connected to the network before Windows 8 installation or setup, then print the network setup page or manually check for the IP address from the control panel.
If the printer is not yet connected to the network before Windows 8 installation or setup, then see the following Wireless Setup options below.
Note: Identify Windows 8 or Windows RT compatibility with your device. Click here for a compatibility list.
Lexmark Wireless Setup Utility (WSU) or Wireless Setup Assistant (WSA)
Note: When using WSU or WSA, a USB configuration cable is required.
Turn on your printer and select Wireless connection when prompted.
Select Guided Setup as your Wireless Configuration Path and click Yes.
Select Continue.
Connect the installation (USB) cable between PC and printer, and click Continue.
Select your network name (SSID) and click Continue.
Confirm how the software processes your Network Key.
- If you’d like the software to determine the key, select Yes.
- If you’d like to enter the Network key manually, select No, and enter the password.
Remove the installation cable. If the procedure was successful, a networks settings page prints automatically.
