Dark vertical band on the left area of the page

Issue description

The printout has a dark vertical band on the left area of the page. See sample image below.

This print quality defect is primarily seen in half-tones with matte color backgrounds, where composite grays/blacks can make the artifact become more visible.

Solution

Manually perform a "forced color adjustment" by following these steps:

1. From the printer, go to theSettings menu.



2. Navigate to Print > Quality > Advanced Imaging > Color Adjust then press Start. The printer will run a quick settings adjustment.



3. When the printer is back to its Ready state, re-print the job to see whether the print quality improves.
