Issue Description:

When one or more of the remaining cartridges are low or running empty and the user continue printing, the print output colors seem different or incorrect after installing a new cartridge.

Explanation:

When the user runs pages even after the cartridges have gone empty and a new cartridge is installed, the printer will automatically calibrate and make color adjustments to compensate for cartridge differences. The calibration routine has been designed to detect when cartridges are running empty and not make color correction changes during this condition. This ensures that a “light” reading due to missing or partial toner does not adjust the printer incorrectly.

Note: This is normal behavior and is functioning “As Designed”. When a cartridge is too low, functions that require toner to make adjustments must be halted.

Solution:

The color toner cartridge/s that are listed as “Low” must be replaced before calibration will run correctly.

While waiting for a new cartridge, the following steps can be performed to continue printing:

  1. Remove the toner cartridge/s that are displayed “low”.

  2. Shake each "low" cartridge reasonably from side to side.

  3. After shaking the cartridge, initiate a Color Adjust. To do this, navigate through Settings > Print > Quality > Advanced Imaging > Color Adjust. This may bring the colors back if there is enough toner remaining.
