Early Replace Maintenance Kit, Recommended Life Exceeded (80.36) message

Issue description

The printer displays a “Replace maintenance kit, recommended life exceeded [80.36]” message when the fuser or maintenance kit has less than 100K – 150K pages.

Solution

1. Reset the printer by turning it off and on again.



2. If the message still appears, update the firmware to FW 072.204 or newer.

Service action

1. Make sure FW is updated before sending a new fuser. Only send a new fuser if the FW cannot be updated.
