Detection failure of font, forms merge and bar code, prescribe PFOs and other flash card options

Issue description

Upon boot-up of the printer, the presence of a Pluggable Firmware Option (PFO) or Font or Flash card is not indicated on the Menu Settings Page. Sometimes, the PFO or Font card is detected but “Flash MB” is missing under Installed Features.

Rebooting the printer several times may eventually allow the PFO, Font, or Flash card to be recognized on the Menu Settings Page.

Solution

1. Make sure the PFO or Font or Flash card is securely seated in its appropriate slot or socket.



2. Update firmware to FW5.2.24, or ######.052.024 or later. See Refer to the Firmware Update Instructions for more information.
