Changes in 081.225 (since 081.216):

• New Features:
• Support for solutions through Lexmark Cloud Bridge is now available on 2.8" touch panel devices
• Added support for scanning to PDF/A-2u format
• Security Issues Addressed:
• Security improvements based on internal testing
• Field Issues Addressed and Other Improvements:
• Fix for a 121.71 error on CS/CX33x and CS/CX43x devices and their equivalents (CSLBL, CXLBL, CSLBN, and CXLBN firmware)
• Fix for an issue where setting a string via SNMP to a non-ascii character set did not allow utilizing the max length of the string
• Fix for an issue where the device intermittently does not staple when expected
• Fix for an "unsupported USB hub" error on some devices with Marknet N8372 options installed
• Fix for an issue where output orientation was incorrect in some stapling scenarios
• Add skew adjustments to the MS/MX32x-62x devices and their equivalents (MSNGM, MSTGM, MXNGM, and MXTGM firmware)

• Fix for an issue where the CS/CX72x and their equivalent devices (CSTAT and CXTAT firmware) intermittently display a "Tray 1 Empty" message when transitioning into Sleep Mode even though the tray is not empty
• Improve organization of data displayed on the Device Information report for the CS/CX73x devices and their equivalents (CSTMM and CXTMM firmware)
• Prevent truncation of the "Printer ID" message on the printed Device Information report
• Fix for an issue where the copy workflow would set the incorrect number of copies (e.g. "22" rather than "2") when the device Country/Region is set to "Korea"
• Added support for the Japanese long note character as an input key
• Added support for using "dot" character in the filename field for the native Scan to FTP workflow
• Fix for an issue where the “Embedded Web Server Access” function access control (FAC) is intermittently not accessible to Public Permissions after upgrading to FW7.2 or later (firmware versions xxxxx.072.001 and higher numbers) for the first time
• Fix for an issue where the client PC is unable to install the printer to Microsoft Universal Print
• Fix for an issue where a new Universal Print job could not be printed if the previous Universal Print job was sent as a held job but had not yet been released to print.
• Fix for an issue where printing too many Universal Print jobs in a short time results in an http error 429 "Too Many Requests" from Microsoft
• Improve 900.00 crash messaging to help in identifying hardware related causes
• Fixes for multiple sources of 900.00 errors

• Fix for a 900.00 crash at boot up under certain conditions - applicable to CS/CX92x devices and their equivalents only (CSTMH and CXTMH firmware)
• Fix for an intermittent 900.00 crash when walking/querying SNMP
• Fixes for multiple fax issues
• Improvements to HTTPS faxing with mix of large send and receive jobs
• Fix for an issue where fax via FoIP intermittently stops working
• Fix for intermittent E-706 errors
• Fix for intermittent E-81c errors when receiving faxes

Changes in 081.216 (since 081.215):

• Field Issues Addressed and Other Improvements:
• Fix for an issue where devices with a Secure Element SIM card installed may intermittently fail to initialize all necessary subsystems at boot (unless purchased and installed separately, this is limited to effecting CX860 models and their equivalents)
• Fix for an issue where USB flash drives without any partitions are unable to be used in the front USB slot of a device even if they are FAT formatted (this is not common)
• Fix for an issue where "no analog phone line connected" error message will not clear in some circumstances

• Upgraded open-source components to apply latest security patches
• Field Issues Addressed and Other Improvements:
• Improvements to firmware flashing reliability
• Fix for an issue where using the "Fit to Page" setting on the printer results in a corrupted output for some print jobs
• Fix for an issue where the CS/CX73x devices are not responding to adjustments to the left margin on the multipurpose feeder or input option trays (CSTMM and CXTMM firmware)
• Fix for an "unsupported USB hub" error on some devices with Marknet N8372 options installed
• Fix for an issue where "fold" settings for Copy shortcuts were not applied correctly when the shortcut was launched via Shortcut Center
• Fix for an unexpected output received when printing via USB cable from a computer running Windows10 patched with KB5015807 or newer
• Fix for a 912.32A crash on CS/CX33x devices and their equivalents (CSLBL and CXLBL firmware)
• Update default print resolution of mono devices to 1200IQ to improve interaction with newer drivers and/or driverless print options.

Note:  Device print resolution setting will not be changed by applying this firmware update, a restore factory defaults or out of service erase would have to be performed after installing this update for the new default to apply
