Print quality defect - toner streaks on the trailing edge of the paper

Issue description

Unwanted toner streaks or spots are found on the trailing edge of the paper when a user prints narrow sized documents (such as A5 sized media) and immediately prints another set of wide sized documents (such as Letter sized media).

Solution

1. Provide sufficient time before loading media with a different size in the tray source.

   • This will give the printer ample time to calibrate before printing another set of media with a different size.


2. Print the full media first.

   • Should the user require printing documents with different sizes of media, then it is recommended to print the wide media first followed by the narrow media.
