White Paper: Generating printer usage reports for Cloud Fleet Management

Overview

Lexmark Cloud Services (LCS) provides reports that track printer usage and supplies history using the Analytics services.

For Cloud Fleet Management (CFM), only aggregate printer-level data is reported. The reports can be tailored for either the partner organization or for all customer organizations managed by the partner.

Setup for CFM Reporting

For a partner to generate reports for customer organizations, the partner must have the Fleet Management Reporting Analyst role.

Generating Reports

All LCS reporting is generated from the Analytics service in the LCS portal. Analytics can be accessed from the dashboard by clicking the Analytics card.

If one or more customer organizations have been created, an option to Select an Organization is provided.

Note:  The following discussion assumes a hierarchical structure of a parent partner organization with child customer organizations.

Report Types

Reports can be generated for all printers or just a specific printer in:

• The partner organization
• All customer organizations
• A single customer organization

The following reports are specific to CFM.

Aggregate Printer Reports

Aggregate reports show activity of all printers within the partner organization, within a specific customer organization, or within all customer organizations.

Partner Organization

To generate a report for just the printers within the partner organization, select the following report options:

• Select Organization: [Partner Organization]
• Report Level: Organization
• Report Type: Printer Hardware Detail

All Customer Organizations

To generate a report for all the printers within the partner customer organizations, select the following report options:

• Select Organization: [Partner Organization]
• Report Level: Organization
• Report Type: Customer Printer Hardware Detail

Single Customer Organization

To generate a report for all the printers within a single customer organization, select the following report options:

• Select Organization: [Customer Organization]
• Report Level: Organization
• Report Type: Printer Hardware Detail

Individual Printer Reports

Reports can be generated for a single printer in either the partner or the customer organization.

• Printer Hardware Statistics

Printer Supplies History Report

To generate a printer supplies history report, select the following report options:

• Select Organization: [Partner or Customer Organization]
• Report Level: Printer
• Printer: [Printer serial number]
• Report Type: Printer Supplies History

Printer Hardware Statistics Report

To generate a printer hardware statistics report, select the following report options:

• Select Organization: [Partner or Customer Organization]
• Report Level: Printer
• Printer: [Printer serial number]
• Report Type: Printer Hardware Statistics
