Issue Description:
The error message, “ An unexpected error occurred while checking the firmware version for this printer” is displayed when discovering printers using the Printer Enrollment Tool ( PET).
This can be caused by a port conflict between the PET and the Fleet Agent ( FA) running on the same workstation.
Solution:
To resolve this issue, perform either of the following steps:
Run the Fleet Agent ( FA) and the Printer Enrollment Tool ( PET) on separate workstations.
Deactivate or uninstall the Fleet Agent then restart the workstation.
