Lexmark MB/B2236: Toner Background Issue During Printer Cold Start

Issue Description:

When printing a document in a Cold / Dry environment, toner background issue could occur at the cold start of the printer.

Solution:

  1. Print at least 5-10 pages until the print quality issue has been cleared.

  2. If the print quality issue continues to appear, perform a power-on-reset (POR) by powering the printer off and power it back ON.

  3. Open the printer front door and remove the supplies.

  4. Remove the toner cartridge from the imaging unit to separate the two supplies.

  5. Insert the toner cartridge back to the imaging unit, install back the supplies to the printer and close the front door.

  6. Perform a test print and check if the print quality issue still appears.

  7. Should the issue persist, replace the black toner cartridge.
