Persistent Gray Background During Copy/Scan/Fax check

Issue Description:

When scanning an image for copy/scan/fax, the scan bar may be picking up more detail than the customer wants.

The problem may also be due to printing for the first time in a cold environment.

Sample Defect:

Solution:

  1. Cleaning glass could eliminate background. Steps can be found in KB Article Cleaning tips for clearing lines, smudges or spots on scanner glass.

  2. If the issue still persists when making copy, adjust the level of background removal by going into “Advanced Imaging” which can be found in Copy, Scan, and Fax menus on Operator Panel and Embedded Web Server (EWS).
