iPad Auto-Locks in the Middle of Scanning Causing Lexmark Mobile Print App to Hang

What you will see

When performing a 5-page scan using the Lexmark Mobile Print app on an iPad mini, the job never seems to finish. All 5 pages are scanned but the app continues to show 'Scanning'. Also, the app hangs when the device auto-locks while the machine is still scanning.

Solution

Any of the following methods will fix the issue:

  • Extend the sleep timeout of the device by increasing the auto-lock settings from 2 minutes to 5 minutes.
  • Tap the device's screen to keep it awake during scanning
