When checking the serial number (SN) data for the imaging unit (IU), it appears as gibberish of random characters.
Explanation and recommendation
Based on the information provided by product engineers, this is a hardware issue that is not likely to be fixed. Despite the changes in the firmware that are designed to reduce (but not eliminate) this occurrence, the corruption of the IU serial numbers can still happen.
However, this does not affect the IU and it will continue to function as designed, and life-tracking is also uninterrupted.
