Printer displays 'wireless connection successful' message even if wireless settings is not yet configured

What you will see

The printer ID appears only for five seconds then the printer posts "'Wireless connection Successful" even if the wireless configuration has not been set up. This happens after pressing the OK button to get the printer ID for the Lexmark Mobile Assistant app wireless configuration.

Solution

Perform the wireless mobile setup twice to complete the configuration and connect printer to the network.

From the printer control panel, press

button and navigate to Network/Ports >> Wireless >
> Setup Using Mobile App.

Note: Press the

and
arrow buttons for the menu selection.

2Press the
button to display the printer ID.
3Proceed with the Configuring non-IPDS printing using WSCST and HPT.
