  12. Set HOST PRINT TRANSFORM (HPT) to *YES, and then press Enter.

  13. Specify the Manufacturer type and model (MFRTYPMDL) to *LEXMARKT634, for example.

Note:  MFRTYPMDL is variable; select the printer model closest in value to your printer model. To view the possible values under MFRTYPMDL, then press F4.

  14. Set Paper source 1, Paper source 2, Envelope source, and so on to *MFRTYPMDL.

  15. For ASCII code page 899 support, set *NO.

  16. Set Image configuration to *NONE.

  17. Specify Graphic character set to *SYSVAL.

  18. For the Remote Location Name or address (RMTLOCNAME) field, enter the IP address or the host name for your network adapter.

  19. Lastly, set the System Driver Program (SYSDRVPGM) to *IBMPJLDRV and press Enter to save the printer device description (DEVD).

  20. Now you must VARY ON the device. From a command line, type WRKDEVD.

  21. Move your cursor to the printer you have just created, type the number 8, and then press Enter.

  22. Press number 1 to VARY ON the device, and then press Enter. The device should now show VARIED ON.

  23. Press F12 to exit out of WRKDEVD and back to your command line.

  24. Turn on the MS810HPT WTR.

Note:  To print the job you can either transfer the job to the MS810HPT OUTQ that was created with the DEVD or change the WTR so it points to the OUTQ containing the job you want to print.
