A Delay Occurs when Launching LDD Profiles

What you will see

You press an LDD profile (enabled icon) only to notice a delay of about 25 seconds before the prompt to scan a document. The profile script is tied to an e-mail event.

For example, here an eSF log identifies this delayed event sequence:

20160906 12:31:

01

.719 debug #98webdav - HttpClientTransportImpl.call: will use URL:/lmc/services/AdvPrompting20160906 12:31:

.783
Warning #99commons-logging - Going to buffer response body of large or unknown size. Using getResponseBodyAsStream instead is recommended.

Suggested troubleshooting and remedy

Check the MFP's DNS configuration.

If issue affects...Then... And... Details / Explanation
Only one configured device...Try finding a working device and compare their devices' DNS configuration values.Configure the DNS settings of the non-working device to equal those of the working device, and then test. The delay is possibly due to a problem with a network connection issue or DNS resolution.
More than one configured device...Place the secondary DNS server address into the primary DNS server field.Test with the secondary DNS server listed as the primary DNS server. The delay described in this article was due to the primary DNS failing to resolve the hostname. After timing out; i.e., 25 seconds, the device tried to resolve the hostname using the secondary DNS, which eventually worked.
