Large print jobs failing to submit to or release from Lexmark Cloud Services (LCS)?

Issue Description:

Submitting or printing very large jobs (e.g., greater than 500 pages) fails when using the Print Management Client.

Solution:

  1. Reduce the print jobs by breaking or splitting them into smaller jobs (e.g., from 500 pages print job to 100 pages print job).

  2. Update to the latest versions of the Print Management Client for workstations and the Cloud Print Management eSF application bundle for the printers.

    1. The latest version of the Print Management Client can be obtained from the Client Download tab in the Print Management portal.

    2. The latest version of the Cloud Print Management eSF application bundle can be deployed from the Fleet Management portal to enrolled printers.

  3. Submit the jobs directly via the Cloud Portal.

  4. Increase the Print Release app's network timeout on the print device in allowing jobs to be released.

    Note:

    This may not address the submission issue.

Additional Information:

  • The print driver creates very large files that are uploaded to the server and downloaded to the printer.

  • The server or print device may timeout depending on current network traffic and available bandwidth.
