Fixing a 121.xxA service fuser error

Issue description

The printer posts a Service Fuser 121.xxA error message. The error may be due to a poor voltage line (power strip or overloaded circuit).

The most common error codes that may appear on the printer display are:

  • 121.12A
  • 121.09A
  • 121.32A
  • 121.00A
  • 121.11A
  • 121.20A
  • 121.33A
  • 121.34A
  • 621.01A

Solution

  1. Make sure the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet.

  2. Turn the printer Off and turn it back On after a few seconds.

    Notes:

    • The steps that are provided must be performed even if the printer has worked on the same power outlet in the past.
    • Power strips and uninterrupted power supplies can cause a low amperage condition to occur within in the printer, which in turn may trigger a false fuser error.
