What you will see
Multiple sheets or shingled sheets of paper are being pulled by the ADF, and this can result in long-page ADF Jam error codes such as those ending in a 5, i.e., 280.15.
Common causes, to include:
- Previously stapled pages
- Carbonless media
- Folded pages
- Media with pre-punched hole
- Edge welds formed in the punched area. Notice that many of the edges overlap.
Recommendations

Remove the stack of paper from the tray, fan the paper, reload it into the ADF tray, and retest.

Test with a different stack of paper.

Utilize the flatbed to scan your pages.
Explanation
Multifeeding occurs when there is insufficient separation between sheets being fed or some variable is creating additional stiction between pages.
This can happen with a complete overlap of the pages or a portion of it. Without a dedicated sensor, multi-feeds with complete overlaps cannot be detected.
